If you have received an email from Google that your user account has been used to create or join a Brand Account, please read below. Otherwise if you want to check if you have created a brand account, go to www.youtube.com/account_advanced. If your screen looks like this:
and says "You have a channel", and "Move channel to Brand Account", you are safe, nothing more to do. If you have a brand account, read the instructions below to download your data before Google deletes it on July 10, 2019.
Review Google's instructions to download your data here . When you begin to download your data, make sure to hit the "deselect all" button:
then move to the bottom of the page and select Youtube:
Next, click Next Step. Choose your delivery method, using 1 of the top 2 options: Add to Drive or Send download link via email
Leave the default for Export Type, File Type and Archive Size, click Create Archive! At that point, you'll be notified by Google when your archive is ready.
Alternatively, to preserve the entire Brand Account, you can transfer primary ownership to another user. Instructions from Google can be found here. The new primary owner must be either (a) a G Suite account holder that is not in a G Suite for Education primary/secondary (K-12) school domain or (b) a consumer account holder (i.e., account@gmail.com).
